Alumni Recruitment Network

Alumni help to extend the reach of our Admissions Office. As a graduate, we depend on you to help recruit the next generation of Gamecocks!

What is the Alumni/Parent Recruitment Network?

The Alumni/Parent Volunteer Recruitment Network is a group of alumni and parent volunteers who assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with important recruitment activities across the nation.

As a graduate of the University of South Carolina, you have a real and personal perspective on the University.  You can tell prospective students how the University contributed to your success, what to expect on campus, and the benefits of being a Carolina student.

What Do Alumni Volunteers Do?

Members are involved in many activities.  The flexible nature of the program allows you to be involved as your time permits.  Volunteers focus on activities in their local area.  You have the option to participate in the following:

College Fairs:  Distribute literature and answer questions at fairs in the fall and spring.  Because Admissions staff cannot cover all fairs, members can help spread the word about USC.

High School Visits:  Visit local high schools to make admissions presentations, speak with guidance counselors, and/or drop off updated materials.

Contact Prospective Students:  When students from high schools in your local area visit or are admitted, we will send you a notice and ask that you contact them personally (by mail, email or phone)

Support Prospective Student Receptions:  Host or attend a reception for students in your area.  These may include prospective student or admitted student receptions and send-off parties.

Awards Presentation:  Present certificates to award winners at high schools in your area.

Student Referrals:  If you know a student who would succeed at USC, please refer them to us.
