USC in the News
More Great News!
The general assembly also appropriated $188 million in lottery funds for
merit and need-based scholarships for students from South Carolina.
In the fall of 2004, 96% of all incoming resident freshmen at
the University of South Carolina received financial aid funded by the South
Carolina Education Lottery. Of all South Carolinian undergrads at USC,

Carolina Day at the Statehouse was a great
success!
The Carolina Action Network (CAN) celebrated its second Carolina Day at
the Statehouse on March 30. Over 200 advocates from around the state, as
well as students from many of our USC campuses, enjoyed speaking to their
legislators during a meeting of the House of Representatives and also took
advantage of the opportunity to visit the offices of their senators.
This event is a valuable component of our advocacy program, and we thank you
for taking the time to become involved and support the University of South
Carolina. Your help made a tremendous difference and was sincerely
appreciated. |
